Refund Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: [01/09/26]
Last Updated: [01/09/26]
This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Refund Policy") explains the circumstances under which refunds, cancellations, reversals, and releases of funds may be processed through PakEscrow ("PakEscrow", "we", "us", or "our").
PakEscrow provides escrow services designed to help buyers and sellers complete transactions securely. Because funds may be held in connection with an active transaction, a refund is not automatically available simply because a user requests one.
This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Escrow Terms.
1. How PakEscrow Refunds Work
When a buyer funds an escrow transaction, the funds may be held pending completion of the transaction according to the applicable escrow terms.
Depending on the circumstances, funds may be:
Released to the seller;
Returned to the buyer;
Partially refunded;
Held temporarily while a dispute is investigated; or
Returned or reversed because of a payment, fraud, security, legal, or technical issue.
The outcome depends on the transaction status, the applicable agreement between the parties, evidence submitted, and the circumstances of the request.
2. Cancellation Before the Seller Receives Funds
A buyer may request cancellation of an escrow transaction before the funds are released to the seller.
Where the transaction has not yet been completed or the seller has not become entitled to the funds, PakEscrow may process a refund to the buyer, subject to:
The status of the transaction;
Any applicable cancellation terms;
Payment-processing restrictions;
Applicable fees; and
Any fraud, security, legal, or compliance review.
A refund is not guaranteed solely because a cancellation request has been submitted.
3. Seller Does Not Complete the Transaction
If the seller fails to provide the agreed product or service, or otherwise fails to satisfy the agreed transaction conditions, the buyer may submit a refund or dispute request.
PakEscrow may review:
The original transaction terms;
Communications between the parties;
Proof of delivery or completion;
Files, documents, screenshots, or other evidence;
Payment records; and
Other information reasonably necessary to determine the appropriate outcome.
If the evidence supports the buyer's claim, PakEscrow may return some or all of the escrowed funds to the buyer, subject to the applicable terms and circumstances.
4. Product or Service Is Not as Agreed
If a buyer believes that a product or service materially differs from what was agreed, the buyer should notify PakEscrow within the applicable transaction or dispute period.
The buyer may be required to provide reasonable evidence, such as:
Photos or videos;
Delivery records;
Documents;
Screenshots;
Messages;
Specifications;
Work samples; or
Other relevant evidence.
PakEscrow may determine whether the transaction should proceed, be partially refunded, or be fully refunded based on the available evidence and applicable transaction terms.
5. Disputes Between Buyer and Seller
If a buyer and seller disagree about a transaction, either party may initiate a dispute through the PakEscrow platform.
During a dispute, PakEscrow may temporarily hold the escrowed funds while the matter is reviewed.
Both parties may be asked to provide information or evidence supporting their position.
After reviewing the available information, PakEscrow may determine an appropriate resolution in accordance with the applicable Escrow Terms and transaction agreement.
Possible outcomes may include:
Full refund to the buyer;
Full release of funds to the seller;
Partial refund to the buyer and partial release to the seller;
Cancellation of the transaction; or
Continued holding of funds while additional information is requested.
6. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions
If you believe a transaction was made without your authorization or involved fraudulent activity, you must contact PakEscrow as soon as possible.
We may investigate the transaction and may temporarily restrict the relevant account or funds while the investigation is conducted.
Where appropriate, we may:
Suspend the transaction;
Prevent release of funds;
Reverse or refund a transaction;
Request additional verification;
Restrict or terminate an account; or
Report suspected illegal activity to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
Refunds related to suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions may be subject to investigation and verification.
7. Payment Processing Errors
If a payment is duplicated, incorrectly processed, or affected by a technical error, PakEscrow may investigate the transaction.
Where an error is confirmed, we may correct the transaction or arrange an appropriate refund or reversal.
Payment processing times may depend on the payment provider, bank, mobile wallet, or other financial institution used for the transaction.
8. Refunds After Funds Have Been Released
Once escrow funds have been released to the seller, PakEscrow may not be able to directly reverse the payment.
A refund requested after funds have been released may therefore require:
Agreement between the buyer and seller;
A separate refund from the seller;
Additional investigation; or
Another resolution permitted under the applicable Escrow Terms.
PakEscrow does not guarantee that funds can be recovered after they have been released.
Users should carefully review the transaction and raise any legitimate issue before approving or allowing release of escrow funds.
9. Partial Refunds
In some circumstances, a partial refund may be appropriate.
For example, a partial refund may be considered where:
Part of the agreed service was completed;
Part of the order was delivered;
The parties agree to a partial settlement; or
The evidence supports a partial resolution.
The amount of any partial refund will depend on the circumstances and applicable transaction terms.
10. Escrow and Service Fees
Unless otherwise stated, PakEscrow fees may be treated separately from the underlying transaction amount.
Depending on the reason for the refund or cancellation, applicable service, transaction, payment-processing, or other fees may be:
Refunded;
Deducted from the refund amount; or
Non-refundable.
Any applicable fee will be disclosed to the user where reasonably practicable before the transaction is completed.
[Fixed 300pkr deal/escrow will be charges separately from the both the parties of the deals i,e buyer and seller and 1 perecent processing free on total transactional amount which is applicable]
For example, if your business rule is that PakEscrow's service fee is non-refundable, state that clearly here:
"PakEscrow service fees are generally non-refundable once an escrow transaction has been successfully initiated, except where PakEscrow determines otherwise or where required by applicable law."
11. Refund Method
Where a refund is approved, PakEscrow will generally attempt to return the funds using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Depending on the payment provider and transaction type, a refund may instead be processed using another appropriate method.
PakEscrow may require verification of the user's identity or payment information before processing certain refunds.
12. Refund Processing Time
After a refund has been approved, processing time may vary depending on:
PakEscrow's internal processing;
The payment gateway;
Bank processing times;
Mobile-wallet processing times;
Weekends and public holidays; and
Other financial institution procedures.
PakEscrow will not be responsible for delays caused solely by a third-party payment provider, bank, financial institution, or technical service provider outside our reasonable control.

[."within 7 days of delivery or completion" of the/deal/delivery of goods or services or what comes first.]
Requests submitted after the applicable deadline may not be eligible for review unless PakEscrow determines that an exception is appropriate or the applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Abuse of the Refund System
PakEscrow may restrict or reject refund requests where we reasonably believe that a user is:
Submitting fraudulent claims;
Providing false or misleading information;
Repeatedly abusing the refund process;
Attempting to obtain goods or services without payment;
Engaging in fraudulent transactions; or
Violating our Terms & Conditions.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts involved in suspected abuse.
16. Chargebacks
If a buyer initiates a chargeback or payment reversal through a bank, card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution, PakEscrow may investigate the transaction and provide relevant transaction information to the applicable payment provider or financial institution.
A chargeback may affect the status of the associated escrow transaction and account.
Users should contact PakEscrow before initiating a chargeback where they believe an issue can be resolved through our internal dispute process.
17. Legal and Regulatory Requirements
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
PakEscrow may modify, delay, restrict, or refuse a refund where necessary to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security, or law-enforcement requirements.
18. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.
